Ronald
A. Chisholm Limited (CHISHOLM), established in 1938, has
developed into one of the world's leading independent
agrifood dealers, known in every one of its markets as
a superior supplier or customer.
CHISHOLM
began as a commission broker transacting between Canadian
companies producing dairy and poultry products (butter,
cheese, milk powder, chicken, turkey, and eggs) and Canadian
companies utilizing these products (wholesalers, retailers,
food processors, and exporters). By the 1940's the company
had expanded its trading base to include beef and pork
meat.

added services and expanded its agrifood influence as a
principal dealer. In this period the company also developed

Asia, and Austral Asia.

|
By
the early 1970's the company had become the pre-eminent
Canadian agrifood trading house, providing market information
to major participants in the meat and dairy industries.
To this day the CHISHOLM meat price reporting system is
used as a key settlement component to the meat processing
industry.
By
the late 1970's, CHISHOLM could see the global market beginning
to further develop and expanded this client base to include
all major meat, dairy and food ingredient producers, manufacturers,
exporters, importers and distributors located in all major
markets around the world.
